Facilities

The facilities of the Club consist of:

· A 9-Hole golf course

· A clubhouse containing a locker room, toilets, showers, bar service, restaurant and gaming facilities.

· A practice fairway and green

· Sufficient parking area

· Pro Shop

· Golf carts

· Managers residence

· Greenkeepers residence

Use of the Golf Course

The Golf Club and Course are primarily for the use for its members. However, funding (generating revenue) and social requirements demand that the Club occasionally be made available for use by non-members i.e., visitors and guests.

The current and planned priorities for access to the course are as follows:

Monday – Friday

Unless a competition is set by the Club, members, visitors and/or guest are welcome to use the course.

Other organisations may approach the Club to have a social event if large numbers are anticipated.

Generally on Wednesday the social golfers of the “Wednesday Wackers” usually tee off around 4pm

Saturday

Competition golf will be as per the Club’s posted program which is available at the back of the Club Newsletter and on display in the Club.

Social Golf is permitted prior to and after any Club organised competition.

Sunday

The social golfers of the “Dawn Busters” tee-off before 7.30am.

The junior’s competition usually get underway at about 7.30am

The Competition golf as per the Club’s Program & social golf around these programmed events.

Major Events

Ø The Monthly Medal is usually the last Sunday of the month

Ø The Goodline Weipa Open on the May Day long weekend

Ø The Cairns Hardware Carpentaria Cup is on in June

Ø The Club Championships are held in August
